Depending on your local laws and target market, choose a cannabis distillate that’s best for you. We suggest filling with HHC, THC, CBD, CRD or even stronger variations like HHC-P and THC-P. Be extremely careful when using stronger variations and only add maximum 10% of them into the vape, fill the rest with CRD or another less potent cannabinoid. Make sure to always add terpenes so that your vapes taste amazing, otherwise your vapes will have no flavour and in worse cases they might even taste like plastic. Formula for filling vapes with strong cannabinoids like THCJD, THCP, HHCP:
Some distillates are very high viscosity and need to be warmed up before they turn into a liquid and can be used to fill your empty vape pens. The best method for warming up your distillate oil is by using a heated magnetic stirrer with a beaker. Make sure to never put the heat higher than 60-70°C. Too much heat will ruin the distillate by evaporation and loss in potency. If your distillate oil is too thick to pour out of it’s original container or syringe then we suggest partially putting it into some hot water that is around 40-70°C and keeping it there until it the viscosity lowers.
At the same time you’re heating up your distillate oil with the magnetic stirrer, you should pour the terpenes into the beaker. Depending on the terpenes the percentage of the total volume may differ, but a general rule is 5%. Every terpene in our online store has a dosing guide in the description of the product. You should pour the terpenes in once the distillate oil has already turned into a liquid form. After pouring them in you should mix it for around 1-2 minutes or more if they haven’t visually mixed. During this time it’s recommended to lower the heat and put aluminium foil over the top of the beaker. Terpenes evaporate easily so you should keep it on the magnetic stirrer for as little time as possible. The terpene bottle should also be refrigerated and closed at all other times.
If you’re using syringes then fill your syringe carefully and with gloves, as the oil is hot. We recommend using professional distillate filling machines and those usually have a minimum capacity of 100ml up to 1L. This method is better since you can empty the beaker into the filling machine. With syringes you will have to keep refilling the syringe and keeping the oil under low heat so it doesn’t thicken.
Insert the needle of the syringe or the tip of your filling machine handle into the filling hole of the empty disposable vape. Fill the disposable vape with the amount of oil that it has capacity for. For example fill it with 1ml of distillate oil if the vape has a capacity of 1ml. After filling make sure there is no distillate oil in the air intake hole or outside of the internal tank of the disposable vape. Reassemble the vape by inserting the cap or mouthpiece of the device vertically. There is no screwing on our disposable vape pens, you just snap the mouthpeace in. Make sure you reassemble the vape very shortly after filling as this will create a vacuum, failure to do this may cause leaking.
Allow the filled vape to be in the upright position for about 60 minutes before use. This is to avoid leaking and to ensure the oil mixes in the tank. After waiting you can test the vape.
Clogging may happen if the distillate you have used is high viscosity. To lower the chance of clogging only use the vape in or above room temperature as in the cold the distillate gets even thicker. If your vape has clogged then your can fix it by blowing warm air with an air dryer on it until the oil gets lower viscosity. Do not use an industrial heater.
